US telecom company Sprint has shared some plans for its 5G users and this was announced at MWC in Barcelona. In Atlanta, Chicago Dallas and Kansas City can expect 5G connectivity as soon as May 2019.
In some of the case you’re not living one of those cities, maybe you live in Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Phoenix or Washington D.C. Sprint will cover those cities before the end of June 2019.
Sprint will cover 1,000 square miles in nine cities by the end of half 2019 year, and it will take the whole year to cover across the U.S.
Sprint is also partnering with Google so that Google Fi customers can take advantage of Sprint’s 5G network if they have a compatible device.
And that’s about all there’s to know. It’s still unclear whether 5G plans are going to cost more.
