It sounds like a science fiction movie where robots work 27 into 7, But soon we’re entering into the future. A few months ago Amazon announced they are testing robots delivery.
On Wednesday it will start delivering prime orders using a sidewalk robot named Amazon Scout.
According to the official blog post the six-wheeled robot “Starting today, these devices will begin delivering packages to customers in a neighborhood in Snohomish County, Washington.”
This autonomous robot will be used for delivery from Monday through Friday during daylight hours.
It is not the first time when a company has used robots for delivery. Companies like Starship and marble are already using delivery robots. However, Amazon is the biggest retailer in the world, and the new method of delivery could change the e-commerce industry as we know it.
